One of the things we do with the money we get from store sales and donations is provide support to families trying their best to care for their pets, even when theyre struggling. We know that having to give them up would be the worst possible outcome for everyone. So we team up with other groups, like RVA Free Pet Pantry Project and Lost Dog Foundation, alongside our own incredible Pet Food Posse and haul supplies to places around town where people can come get them, for free. It might seem like a little thing, but folks we serve tell us all the time how, some days, its the only thing keeping them going.

If you know someone who could use a hand, tell them about this event on April 18, 10 AM to 12 PM at Meadowbridge Community Market.

If youd like to donate to this ongoing project, even a small amount helps. https://wahjf.org/donate/

Look what we found on our doorstep! A 1920’s Sellers Hoosier cabinet in amazing condition. The enamel top can slide out for cleaning, flour sifter slides out and down for easy refilling. S-shaped hardware, original menus.
The bottom cabinet’s hinges need to be screwed back in.

Only question is who can get here first! 😉

Beautiful, price?

An American classic! Before we had built in cabinets in our kitchens. I have a Sellers cabinet my mom bought in the early 1980’s. It was then in constant actual kitchen use until 2024. Now it just stands around and looks pretty 🤩

My grandmother used it everyday in the 50s

My husband’s mom had one like this in her 1940’s house!!

A great regret is that I don’t have my granny’s.

My grandmother’s that dates to the very early 1900s, before the Hoosier and Sellers were made.

Furbish thrift!!! it’s just magical! From the gift of donation to the gift of Service and time

You Are very blessed with donations from the community. ❤️
